One was in the middle between the territory of the Ranch Acres and the Langenhiem pairs at 35th and Harvard. So close to both, I assume it was an adult of one or the other pairs. Langeheim's Spotted yesterday afternoon in the wind gliding about on the thermals. They actually appeared to be playing, floating along zooming around then massive flapping of wings, then more soaring. Teenagers! Go Figure.rc

OK more sightings. This morning again, the Langeheim hawks were out and about. I can confirm two healthy looking juveniles. I believe one to be male, one female based soley on size while sitting side by side. Both were cruising and perching in the park and generally being harassed by the mocking birds. Pretty cool BVille!! There has been an abundance of hawks today in the area. This morning from about 615 to about 0830 an adult and juvie redtail of the Langenhiem group sat in the dead pine on the edge of the park and preened, ate and dodged small aggrevating birds dive bombing them. Later around 1130 an adult flew across the park

I was over on Peoria at around 6pm picking up burgers at Webers and spotted Kay and Jay on the goldenrod, both facing south. I watched for maybe 10 minutes as they chatted and preened. Was good to see them again.RC
