• Re: Kay and Jay 2nd Season: After Eggs 4/07/09

Sally, most people on this Forum, compared to me are ''Pros''!!! I've learned a lot about Raptors since last March, but prior to this, if it wasn't a cardinal, chickadee, or any bird seen in central Tulsa, then I'd be lost!Bville, once again, thank you for posting the screen shot of the nest! And KJRH, thank you for showing the tidy nest!

LOL, Bville, thorough inspection indeed!!! Thank you so much for posting the screen capture and for answering my SOS - ''whose tail is this?'' I knew if anyone could research it, it would be you!Thank you Sally for your professional input also! You were actually signed on when the tail landed on the camera (but probably outside inhaling fresh ...

Great job Sally, Bville! Hi Wings!I'm thinking from what I saw that perhaps the white object at 11:00ish was the egg remains that still has that black area (breakage?) we've previously seen? Would that even be possible?

Bville, that was hysterical and oh so creative, but given your past forays into holiday cheer, I'm not surprised!!! Loved Thunder's costume - who would suspect him of being a bat for Halloween!! Bravo!

  • Re: Raptor rap: A place for the flock to talk, squawk, and speculate about Raptors and related subjects

Catgirl, excellent photos of the ArtDeco Red Tail!! I couldn't see him from the photo you posted - had to cheat and go to your Flickr page! So nice to see the blue sky Saturday, wasn't it!I echo Catgirl's sentiments - Wings, it's great to see you back on the Forum and hope that your health permits you to return more often as you are a valued member

Bville, it could very well be Jay! I went back through a bunch of Observer's Flickr pictures as well to make a comparison. The belly band, the coloring on his shoulder, the white in the middle of his back feathers all look like Jays! Of course the eyebrows are very Jay-like!You did an excellent job of enhancing Catgirls photos!!Wings, I said it on ...

Catgirl, this was the correct place to post your photo, as most of us follow any activity on the Forum now! Thank you for granting our wish to ''give us a K''!! I understand about the gloomy, overcast weather conditions of late, and realize they don't make for good picture taking or hawk watching!

Ok, Bville, that was hysterical! And very appropriate! We'd all like to see the 'kick-off' of a new season of RTU!!!Socal, thanks for taking some time and letting us know you're still among those interested in the Forum - from whatever distance, and as time permits!

  • Re: Our Pets and Other Life Dramas...

Hi Socal, congratulations on your new puppy, Mishka! Darling pictures, adorable face, love the coat color! Having sort of walked in your shoes (adopted a dog that didn't work for us, very long, scary 4 months, and then finding our current daughter dog Shannon who has brought us 10 3/4 years of unconditional love), I wish you for you the same - long
