Just as I finished putting these pictures together I looked up to see both hawks in the nest on the hawk cam. They didn't stay long, but they're really hanging about the nest a LOT. Seems strange, since they have no real reason to be there and we don't see them that much in the "off season," i.e. when they're not brooding or raising eyases. Anyway, here's my contribution:
I got to work this morning about 0800 and saw this from the ground...

Zoom in a little bit, yup! Definitely a hawk...

So I got up on the roof to get a better angle... no telling if that tail's red -- or brown

The hawk knows I'm there but doesn't much care

I get a bit closer
