Well I have bugged Julie with some of my pictures for the morning program so she may have already figured out who I am.
From the big city of Cookson, OK. (doesn't show up on most maps!) about 90 miles SE of Tulsa on beautiful Lake Tenkiller.
Hello returnees and new people I originally was just an Observer on here for my own pleasure but got hooked and ventured out to be a pester oh I mean poster.

35th and Utica (pretty darn close huh?) :D
I admit I have been lurking since hawk forum started - I watched egg sitting last year, worried through Thunder's formative days, marveled at nest remodeling this year, and now am stressing over Kay and Jay's new egglet.
My thanks to everyone (including you Russell) for all your posts. I read them every day - and check the hawk site several times a day to see what is going on.

Dear raptorfan .... Please do write a book anytime you please about your local hawk family!!! We all eat that sort of stuff up here, bigtime, as you probably already know. This first installment was wonderful, and it's great that you posted in this thread! To you, and to all who posted here.... Please, please, please join us in posting observations in the "Big Sit" thread!!! We have incredibly diligent posters who are taking so much time out of their lives to contribute there so that we all can benefit from their observations... And they are all doing such fantastic work!!! It would be great, though, to have many more join in so that some can get a break when needed.... or just to have more overlapping input is always great fun, as well as confirming "evidence", as it were, of a record of events. It does help to know that you're not the only person posting... Also, we are a warm, supportive, congenial group... We welcome newcomers, and won't bite... I promise ! Please come join us in the fun and wonder of reporting about Kay and Jay, and their growing family!!! p.s. raptorfan ... Do keep us informed about your local r.t.h.'s ... Post the next installment for us, if you please, on the "Raptor Rap" thread of the Hawk News Forum. I, for one, look forward to those next chapters!!!

Where to put the links for those videos and photos is actually a good question, Raptorfan. The "Links to Videos and other Forums Following Thunder" thread I believe was established for info about Thunder that had been posted elsewhere, on blogs or in other forums. However, it sort of morphed into a catch-all thread. My own preference would be to post the links about your hawks in "Raptor Rap," where there's a lot of discussion about other birds, but that's just my take. I'd be interested to hear others' opinions.
The point is, I think, for us all to agree on a single spot for that kind of contribution so that we can find it easily again and everybody knows where it is. It may turn out that you'll have enough material to make it worthwhile to start an entirely new thread.
We really appreciate your willingness to contribute to the forum. It'll advance all our knowledge of hawk behavior. For instance, a question came up today about whether Jay is bringing food back for Kay. We suspect he is, but if so, it's almost always off camera, and so it would be interesting to know what you see your hawks doing.
