1:40 AM - I'll have to take the word of all of you that it's Jay.  Someone is sleeping in the nest.  When I checked in several times Friday night and saw the uncovered eggs, I felt terrible.

 i'm at my wits ends, during supper, friends ask about kay and jays roller coaster ride we've all experienced on the forum last weekend, bitter cold winds, heavy rain, blowing snow etc., at tulsa's kay and jay nest site. so we wanted to look in on jay nesting egglets...and like clock work.. jay stills refuses to give up so i decided not to give up trying to gain access on kjrh forums....so team, we try again!! anyway cut to the chase, i told friends about my online chat earlier in the day, and why i voiced my opinion about a url posted " fishing in oregeon" many cams and how ticked off i felt. i

i typed in url to see the cams for myself, but knew it was wrong, the site highjacked tulsa's kjrh redtail hawk live chat adding it to the web page, so users' can watch numerous cams, chatted freely, COURTESY of  KJRH, and MR. RUSSELL MILLS...my friends tonight, said it looks like i'm being flagged??  a new terminolgy to me, i know it as rocking the boat, creating waves...doesn't change the fact, the website highjacked kjrh live chat.

my email addy/password/ are being blocked/access denied, and i can't get back into either forums. after trying for 2 hrs now.but i wont stop trying and i refuse to change my straight forward beliefs' of right and wrong..its that simple!

Weeyin, yes, I do enjoy watching the ospreys.  It's a lovely view when they move the cam so that the loch is visible.  Plus it's daylight in Scotland when this night owl is up late.  Right now, one of the birds--the female, I assume--is rearranging sticks in the nest.

AH Jay is still there all curled up in a ball of feathers. With the cold north wind now..........no wonder everyone stays confused. Yesterday you get blown to Kansas and today you go to Texas!!

Keep in mind the temps were in the mid to upper 70s yesterday

Jay uncurls himself and begins looking around. He is facing toward the camera at 7 tail at 1 wind blowing in his face.

Jay suddenly hops up starts to step backwards puts his foot on one of the eggs and instantly takes it off. Steps back to the right the wind rocks him soo he steps toward the pole is semi behind it the wind is knocking him backwards. He steps to the bar closes to the camera and flies off to the left.

 

He comes right back from the left lands on the bar and is looking at something then flies off again to the left.

Jay comes in from the right. Lands on the right edge then hops past the eggs and lands on the bar under the camera. Is still on the bar and all I can see  is his back and tail. Looks like he is having trouble keeping his balance. Stands there wobbling then 7:52am flies off to the NE.

9:00 am  eggs still sitting by themselves.  Camera turns to downtown view, bouncing around in the wind.

I will take a look around when I am out later today.


Edit - 9:07 camera back on eggs.

9:04 a.m. I came on to find the cam on downtown, sigh...I thought Oh NO! KJRH has given up on us watching what Kay and Jay do next!  Then as I read Weeyin's drama of being blocked from posting, viola! Cam comes back to the nest - eggs unattended at present.  Observer, I bet he is now having to go out and hunt, I doubt Kay is getting him any breakfast! Guy has to eat...

I'll be on today when I can, we have relatives coming over.

Hi HLC. Yes, we've all been haertsick. WEEYIN! Glad you got back online. Yes, do let Russell know what happened yesterday! I will say my level spam has picked up dramatically since I have been in the chat, but I guess that's the danger of chat rooms, period.

9:36 the camera is on the two lonely eggs in the nest. No Kay or Jay. But, I suspect neither are too far away.

Morning all. I see Master Jay returned to the nest last night. If it is about hormones with the female, I wonder what it takes for the male? Just giving up? It is really interesting, I think. Will they leave the eggs there? You would think Kay would remove them if she is no longer incubating.

Catgirl, that was an amazing picture of Kay. It is obvious she is not going hungry. So you thing she is guarding the nest from Jay? That is also interesting that he would keep coming back even at her insistence. I guess like Sally said, he just doesn't know any better right now. It is kind of pitiful.

Weeyin...you definitely should let Russel check into the problem you were having. Once I tried to make my feelings known in there and I got called out on it. But, at least I didn't get flagged and blocked! That is strange. Do you think someone in the chat room did it, or from the other site?

Hi sallyls, catgirl and observer and any other early birds. I'm watching and compiling another chronology of what occurs today (using chat, forum posts and my observations). I just finished yesterdays so I'll post them later. ANYONE feel free to correct and edit them!

Do you think this is worth it, would anyone be interested in seeing Jay's (and Kays - catgirl your on the ground sightings are included as they are most telling when injected into the timeline) ins and outs in one post? Let me know what you think. I'd really like to do the 'normal' week leading up to the snow storm, and then last week, but that would be at a later time.
