    9:05 pm  Camera looking at the 21st St bridge.  I sent an email to the station & asked if they were going to move camera over there for the fireworks.  Guess it worked Smile  Should be a pretty good show, supposed to be $200,000 worth of fireworks & will start around 9:30pm

    Hoping everyone has had a great 4th of July.........

    9:10 p.m. Tulsa time. 7:10p.m here...
    Hey tripsqkr.... 100 brownie buttons for that email! I guess it worked! Some fireworks are already going off there, it looks like. We're going to watch ours a little later (they're going off at 9pm our time)... This is great! Now I'll get to see Tulsa's AND ours! No hawks in view, but there go some more fireworks! east side of river past downtown, and more to the left! ooo aaah....oooo...aaah!

    They need to scoot the camera over just a wee bit more to the left (west...).. Looks like some big ones just fired off, half off screen there to the lower left... on west side of river...

    9:21 p.m Tulsa time.... Camera just zoomed in more. It's hazier now, and we're looking at just some of the fireworks going off, on the east side of the river a few miles past the 21st street bridge. I hope the camera moves over to and back out to show the Walmart sponsored stuff... Camera just zoomed back out and is showing the west side of river better... Thank you!!!! Lots of fireworks going off all over town these past few minutes there!!! Is it legal there for individuals to do fireworks? It isn't here. Good camera shot!!!! I'm getting excited to see the main ones coming up now, in about 6 minutes...

    9:26 p.m. Tulsa time.... oooo!!!! aaahh!!! Man it's been looking like a whole bunch of fireworks parties all over Tulsa!

    9:29 p.m. 10 - 9 - 8 - 7 - 6 - 5 - 4 - 3 - 2 --------------- 1 !!!!!!!!
    ooooooo!!!!!! aaaaaaaahhhhhhh!!!!!!
    9:33 p.m WOW.

    9:37 p.m. NOW WE'RE TALKIN' FIREWORKS!!!!! Please pan up just a little bit more ?!?

    I love this!!! 9:41 p.m Tulsa time... I just need to hear the Star Spangled Banner with all of this!!! What a show Walmart is giving Tulsa!!!! And thank you so much KJRH for showing the rest of us!!!!!
    9:51 p.m. SO PRETTY! And it's still going! : ) !!!
    9:57 p.m. And it's stillllll going! Is this the same show, or did another one take over from where the Walmart one left off?!? This is so exciting!!!! It's so beautiful!!!! And sooo loooonggg!!! Wow! This must be a finale ... but then I thought that a few minutes ago.... oooo!!! aaaahhh!!!!

    Socal and tripsqkr sounds like you had your own private show going there! Great play by play  work. Could you see it from your house tripsqkr or were you watching the camera too? Sounds like I missed a good display. Hope you had a good show at home socal.

    Catbird boy your on the ball I checked out catgirls new pictures after I saw your post. It is always soothing to know they are just out of sight of the camera! It really makes me wonder the other day when the camera was shaking so much if Thunder wasn't sitting on top of it

    Morning all.  Clear blue skies this morning, no hawks circling or perched visibly on my way to and from farmers market.


    Yesterday evening, though, I did get to watch Thunder and Jay for a bit!!
    6:30pm as drove by station could see Jay perched on top of the satellite dish that is on the backside of the nest, looking out to the southeast.  Thunder was perched on the pole ("accidental fledgling" area) under that satellite dish, facing south, preening as usual.
    Once Thunder got all those errant feathers smoothed back down, she started calling out repeatedly, looking up towards Jay, looking all around for dinner delivery!!
    They did not even move a feather when lots of airplanes came buzzing by the top of the tower.  Around 7 pm, after a number of requests from Thunder, Jay takes off into the trees to the east of the station.  Thunder continues to call out and George Flickinger departs the station with a crew member (for a quick stroll to QuikTrip!) - Thunder continues to call out a hello to George but he never looked up- guess he's too used to the hawk cries!!!  Hmm,  he looks much taller than on TV!!
    7:06pm  Jay flies back to a lower ring level momentarily then takes off towards the river neighborhood - getting the best perch for the upcoming fireworks?
    Thunder continues to perch, gazing all around for another 15 minutes, then takes off to the river neighborhood also.  I did not hear any alarms going off in the area so could not locate them again.

    Hope that someone spots a nest visit today - great that the camera is on the nest!!

    10:15am  Camera on empty nest.  I had sent an email last nite about moving the camera to the bridge for the fireworks.  When I checked my email this morning, George had sent me one at about 7:15am & said he was putting it on the nest for us today.Big Smile  Hopefully we will see something....
    Great pics you are getting there catgirl.   Thanks for sharing.

    14:10 - Camera still on empty nest.  HOT!!! Empty nest.  It is really hot today, 90+ degrees.  A nice cool tree by the river is a good place for hawks to be!!

    7:57 p.m. Camera is on the sunlit nest and platform... Empty....Very nice of George F. to have emailed tripsqkr about aiming the cam. that way!...
    I gather from a quick glance through the hawk threads that nobody has seen our hawks today... unless my "glance" was too swift...
    But very fun reading about your sighting yesterday evening, catgirl!.. and nice new pics at your Flickr site of Thunder and Jay on the tower! Thank you! Hope you all are having a great weekend. Later!

    2:41pm Camera on downtown.  It is a tad toasty today,  currently 97.  I imagine the family is hiding in the shade somewhere. Or maybe under a sprinkler Smile

    Yes, rather warm - 94 at 8:00 pm, high of 96.
    But at least plenty of breezes.

    No sign of hawks on Saturday.
    7:10-7:20 pm today observed Jay hanging out on the pole under the nest satellite dish.  Keeping cool - wings cocked out, riding the breezes - oh so much cooler that high, in the shade, with the stiffer breezes ruffling his feathers.  Had to head on home as had a few frozen items from the store!!!!
