Has anyone seen Thunder eat today? I read that sometimes the adults withhold food to get them to fledge.

I've been watching all morning and no, Thunder has not eaten yet today. I've also been wondering where the adults are. I wish Thunder would fledge, the suspense is killing me. I thought he was going yeaterday, he was very active!

Mid morning the camera kept panning the Quick Trip near the station and one of the adults was on the highline pole there. They are around. This also shows how perilous it could be to fledge. The station is in the middle of a very highly commercialized and traffic area. Surely they will lead him nearer to the trees.
'Security—does not exist in nature, nor do the children of men as a whole experience it. Avoiding danger is no safer in the long run than outright exposure. Life is either a daring adventure or nothing.' Helen Keller

Ditto. I don't think they are too far away. He may be able to see them flying over head. It's an awfully busy area for him to fly into. Let's hope he lands somewhere high and not go for low ground. I dont' think I'm going to get anything done until the little guy makes the leap.
