    Bville:
bobdmac:  Thanks for the photo diary link. You're right--it's going to take some serious, dedicated time to explore that collection. With the great photos and commentary, it looks to be a treasure trove. I've only selected a few photos at random, and immediately realized I need to go about it in a systematic way. But already, there is a favorite shot--the "mina pieta"--the mom touching her dead baby who'd just fallen from the nest. What a tender, personal moment in time. Just eloquent. Thanks again.

Wow, Bville, I missed that one. I was concentrating on the more recent photos and didn't go back that far. I'll have to check it out myself.

    Re: Observation Thread

Okay folks I've just spent the better part of 2 hours getting caught up on this forum. All I can say is.. WOW. I'm just thoroughly blown away by your participation and by the Spirit of this community.

I'm going to make a suggestion, which is that we split this into two topics, "Post-fledge observations" and a conversation thread -- I haven't been able to think of a snappy title yet. I have a meeting in like 3 minutes so I'll start the observation thread, if one of you wants to start the other thread that'd be great.

BTW rest assured this forum will never come down as long as people continue to use it.

    Gotta run...

    Re: Observation Thread

In case people missed it, Russell chimed in on the two "Little Thunder" threads, setting the record straight about the kind of response we should expect when we call the newsroom, and what to do if we get a different response.

Okay, I think this is a good idea. I'll start a "Post-Fledge Observations" thread.

    Re: Observation Thread

So folks, let's move the discussion to the "Post-fledge" thread.

Edit: Russell has beaten me to it and has already started one

Nice idea for everyone, including Thunder's new stage in in life.

This is a very good idea, Russell. IWhat you do think about giving this (older) Observation Thread a new name of "PRE-FLEDGE OBSERVATIONS" ... or some such thing, for those just tuning in throughout the day... to catch their eye and direct them to the new one... ??? Just a thought. - socal
