This is a true story that would make
anyoen who has loved hurt. This is the story of Shalan and John.
Shalan is a mother of 4. Her first husband died in a car wreck leaving her with two kids to rase by herself. Then she met John. John is an illegal mexican who has tried to become legal 3 time. He married Shalan and was willing to adopt her two kids as his own. It costs 400$ to file for a green card. And the immigration office would always file the papers too late or they would get lost. And each time they refiled they had to pay that 400$ all over again.
So the two of them stated out having problems you would think it was a sing. But things didn't really get bad untill some tile later. Together Shalan and John and 2 more kids for a total of 4. John would take what ever type of work he could get and Shalan went to work at directv. But As an illegal John couldn't get a real job....
One of his bosses would pay John with cocan and other drugs but John never used. Insted John stated drinking do to the stress he was under. Shalan saw the signs and tried to get him help. Shalan and John when to a church, St. Thommas More, seeking help for the drinking. They called every place in Tulsa and some out side. And every place they called, even AA, said they wouldn't help an illegal. (( please keep in mind at this pint in time they have already filed 3 times and going on 4))
Now is when things really get bad....
One night on his way home from work, John got pulled over by a cop. He was drivign with out a licens. When the cop when to pat John down he found the drugs his boss gave him that day. So John went to jill. They ran a drug test and he came back clean. John had never used a day in his life.
Shalan paid over 500$ for a lawer to help John out, after all the test was clean, how bad could it be. The lawer did help them at all. In fact the lawer didn't even look into the case. He didn't know anything about John when they went to court. John and a past speeding ticket and because of that "suprice" fact the lawer said there was no hope for him. John was sent to federal prison for 5 years, that is if immigration didn't pick him up first.
Now we are at the end of this tale. A father of 2, who hasn't really done any wrong, will be shipped back to Mexico in less then a week. The only real crime is that he is illegal that was cought in a bad spot.
He always flushed the drugs away and never used. He worked hard to make a good living for his family. And was even willing to take in 2 kids that wasn't his own.
The truth of the matter is John would be a free man right now if immigration never lost his filing papers or would have turned them in on time. John would be a free man if the lawer wouldn't have taken advantage if the hole thing. John would be a free man at home with this 4 kids and wife if he wasn't an illegal mexican.
This is one of those times when you can't help but to cry. For the two still living lovers has truly had it worst then Juliet and Romeo. If this story tuched you in any way then please post this in your blog, thank you.
