Wow, Catgirl, this is my new very favorite photo! It gives a whole new perspective to my earlier and flippant photo caption: "the moon as seen from...."  I love this photo!  It is just dripping with metaphor...and beauty!

And to think as we study it that there is a tiny heart--well, maybe two or three tiny hearts beating on that tower, just as our hearts beat as we watch....

HI Catbird  a a chat going also and a close call  the video had quit again but Mamafrog sent an email and walla. Kay was getting up every hour and standing a few minutes and shifting then sitting back down then it was every 30 minutes but with inyermitten video I am not sure how often now

Kay has been standing a lot longer this time she started to sit back down but stood back up again. She is still standing

Hi guys! I was around the first part of last year and disappeared right after we lost Spirit. Would love to jump back in! So excited about a new egg!!!  :)

Welcome back kajomo.  There are a variety of hawksters here - ones that were around for most of it last year, and others like myself who did not get involved until around Thunder's fledging.

9:23pm Kay stands, preens a bit, does that neck movement again several times. Stands facing into wind, eyes closed. 9:39 settles down for a minute, then back up. Preens under chest. Looking out right. Now closes eyes again, dozing? Stream is freezing frequently...

9:49 wakes up, still standing, now turns egg and snuggles into nest bowl facing right, tail over bar.

9:45 she has been standing about 15 min now she has her back to the camera and insist on the tail on the bar!

She turns around and sticks her tail way up in the air moves the egg a bit turns to the right more with her facing the south now she sits back down.
