6:05am
George just showed her on the morning show. She's up facing 3:00 shaking her feathers. He said she's wet but in good shape. I think they said we're to get another round of storms soon. Mind is a little foggy this morning. Anyway, she's looks great!

06:06 I am relieved to know that Thunder stayed in the nest during the night for the bad weather. I know they sense that bad weather is on the way. I have watched birds prepare for hurricanes for several years now. I was so worried about them, but they faired better than we did. The shore birds, on the other hand, did not. There was no where for them to go.
We had a tornado come through our county, when I was in Alabama, about a mile from our home. In an instant, before we even knew what was happening, hundreds of bird shot up from no where and were frantically flying in the opposite direction. I learned to watch nature from then on, when we suspected bad weather.

Has anyone seen the parents overnight, or this morning? Thanks to the night shift!!
I have to get ready for work. I will check in before I leave or when I get home.

6:12. Thunder same position. Winds blowing head onto her at far left of camera. Lightning striking perioically/heavy rain.
Thats true about all creatures sensing storms before us humans, the tsuamni proved that, from the largestanimal (elephant) to the tiniest all showed behaviour changes minutes before it hit land.
Panda's in china''s conservation/research facilities shwoed behaviour changes before the earthquake struck. Amazingly all creature's are more in tune to on coming extreme storms/no matter what!!

6:45. Thunder now facing other way in nest bowl. Camera panned for a few seconds ever city. My words it looks like Tulsa is in having nasty weather, very black clouds covering the area.
Thunder hanging on/winds are strong/parent must know where their offspring is? I've no doubts they're watching & hopefully after bad waether passes through. Thunder will be united with them & get her morning food drop.
6:51 Feathers blowing/peering slightly around, isn't calling out yet, so parents are near by? same position facing left of camera.
6:53am. Fluffing feathers, eyes moving slightl/staying put in nest bowl area. More looking around/very little preening at this time.
6:57. Head straight up & down/parents must be there, (tower somewhere?) beside Thunder.
7:00 Same position in nest bowl

7:03 am. Thunder hops onto rail beside nest, facing left, slightly off camera.
7:05 Lightening flashes from back of satellite dish?
7:06 Camera pans onto Thunder (thanks optr) perched on same rail.
7:08 Beak movements (calling?) preening/ great close up/looks no worse for wear with bad weather. Head flirts peering slightly about surrounding area's.
7:11.am. Same position feathers ruffling in wind, eyes straight ahead, another great close up of Thunder/wide yawn, is she bored or tired?
7:13 Something got her attention in a hurry! Whatever it was its passed and Thunder standing on left nest rail.

07:12 Thanks Weeyin for checking. She looks like she just got out of the shower. Soaking wet. But, she is still beautiful. I hope the parents bring her something to eat soon. She must be starving by now. And, I hope the weather gets better there. I am surprised she isn't naked the way the wind is blowing her feathers around like that.
I am sorry about your arthritis. I can empathize, as I have it too...and fibromyalgia. I understand your pain and hope you feel better.
07:16 Sitting on rail at 9:00, blowing in the wind...looking forlorn, or sleepy one. Closing her eyes periodically. The wind poofs her feathers out, every now and then, like it would an umbrella. If it has been hot there, it may feel good to her.

7:19.am. Thunder perch on left rail beside nest bowl. I'm hoping she will have a food drop, but I guess parents could have a hard time finding prey outside in today's awful weather? I'm betting Thunder's parent's will perservere & provide a meal for her no matter what!
7:22. Yawning, feathers ruffling/wind swirling around her/standing on one talon other tuck up inside body. Peering around/down & to the left very slightly/she does have her eyes focusing on & around nest & below deck area. Still perch on same rail.
7:27.am There's not much preening since I posted or wing stretches, more focusing on area's close by.

7:58 Thunder on deck corner/stretches downwards & poopshot, she's had a meal sometime, that's for sure.
8:91 am. Thunders perch on rim of corner deck are. Wing stretch & moved back on deck/hops onto nest rail/moving carefully & slightly around/back perched on very corner edge of deck, far left of camera.
8:05 Same position peering upwards/parent maybe above/stretches leg and resumes position.

8:11 am. Serious preening full fan tail feathers(gorgeous) wind blowing/no problem for Thunder though. Calling out (yawnin')
8:13. Perch on same corner deck ledge/talons gripping rim/more preening/looking below/calling again! parents close by & she really wants something eat?
8:16. Wings stretch and back to corner ledge stance. I've seen young eagle fledglings coming back to nest site on and off for days on end , and as always it's the last born hatchling to eventually leaves. Then lo and behold back at the nest and parents still making food drops.
8:21 Thunder calling out more! Facing left of camera on corner deck ledge/eyes are looking downwards to level below/onto street area.

8:29. Thunder standing corner legde railings. Bobdmac you're right on about her feathers drying! Nature's own blow dry hair (feathers)
8:35 Preening with winds help, fluffing through her feathers. Raising talon another face itch/full maintenance preening.
