OK I got 3 of them on there. There isn't any title or description.

Sorry for all the trouble and interference!

    Re: Observation Thread

Don't be sorry, most of us are just learning how to do this stuff.  Great pics.

    Re: Observation Thread

Good Lord. No trouble. Bobdmac has taught every one of us how to do it, and I have planted more than my share of duds. I am relieved I am not the only one who had trouble with it at first.

    Re: Observation Thread

Did the camera ever pan back to the nest? I wonder if she stayed there. I hope she did. I am off to bed and will check in the morning. You all have a good night. I think we will sleep better knowing Thunder is safe. Nite!

    Re: Observation Thread

21:15 nest time - I have not been able to follow much on the goings on since coming from Tulsa to California for vacation.  It sounds like Thunder made it back to the nest today, is that true???  I sounds like she flew up there.  Are Kay and Jay around?  Can someone bring me up to speed, I really don't have computer access for long enough to look at all the posts.  Thanks.  I sure miss being in Tulsa!!!

    Re: Observation Thread

Yep, she sure did, around 6 PM. Dan showed her on the weathercast then, too. Camera watched her for about an hour, then she moved out of the picture. Camera shifted to sky and city. Haven't had a chance to check on her since. This morning she was spotted and photographed on the tower. Parents fed her.
There are some post-flight photos on the photo thread. And of her in the nest tonight.

    Re: Observation Thread

Probably ten of us will answer. BTOliver had spent 6 hours on the ground at the tower, with binocs and camera, got two wonderful shots of Thunder bouncing on the top of the three rings at the base of the tower. BT had no sooner posted her observations, than Thunder flew 100 feet UP into the nest. She had gotten very wet, according to BT, with the overnight rains, and maybe wants a roof over her head tonight. While on the ring, BT observed Thunder making flights about 25 out and back from the ring, and bobdmac observed Thunder (on first or another landing in the nest) stick a perfect landing. She can fly and she can fly well. Check out the photos/screen capture thread for BTs photos.

    Re: Observation Thread

Thanks Bville and Catbird - I can't believe all this has happened.  I feel so far away.  I couldn't be happier.  I looked at the photos and she is so beautiful.  Now we know how capable she really is.  I wonder if she is still in the nest.  Hopefully someone will pan the camera back to see.  Maybe not tonight but certainly tomorrow.  Thanks to all for the postings.  I will try to get access tomorrow and check things out again.  I think I will be out of pocket all day.  Post well!!!

Observer- Great job getting the pics up. Nice shots. To put in a description, you first have to hit "return" three or four times. Then insert the pictures in between the returns. That way, you have a space for text.

Sorry I didn't see you post asking for help. I actually managed to get away from the computer for a while, and I just got back.

It was the second time around, Catbird. She landed on the thin bar up above the nest, directly in front of the camera, just like she knew what she was doing.

    Re: Observation Thread

Thanks to all of you for your observations.  I've been following this nest, too, and posting in the Hancock Wildlife Forum

A special thanks for the pictures of Thunder after the fledge!  Now we can all exhale.

I'll be up early to see when she leaves.  If I catch it.
