Bartlesville Art Association Fall Fling
The Bartlesville Art Association will host its annual Fall Fling beginning at 6 p.m. Friday, November 6 at the Art Center in Johnstone Park. This three-day event is the first membership art show and public sale of the season where BAA members offer their fine arts and crafts. The public is invited to attend an artist’s reception on Friday, November 6 from 6-8 p.m, with an opportunity to meet the artists and discuss their works. Refreshments will be served. Hours are 10 a.m.-4 p.m. Saturday, November 7 and 1 p.m.-4 p.m. Sunday, November 8. In addition to the fine arts and crafts available, there is always a table of art-related supplies and materials for sale.
The Fall Fling has been going strong for over 10 years and is a great way to allow member artists to offer their art for sale. Members of the BAA are asked to bring works to the Art Center on Saturday, October 31, from 1-4 p.m. or on Wednesday, November 4, from 1-4 p.m. Upon registration, members need to fill out an inventory sheet that includes a description of the work and an identification number. All artwork must be picked up on Sunday, November 8, from 4-6 p.m.
The BAA is over 100 members strong, offering workshops, shows, and a free monthly program open to the public at 7 p.m. every third Tuesday from September through May. The Bartlesville Art Association is located at the Art Center in Johnstone Park, 102 N. Cherokee in Bartlesville.
