Calendar: Green Country Events
Treats n' Tailwags
At any given time the Tulsa Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals may have 80-100 animals in it's shelter, not only from Tulsa county but surrounding areas. The number of shelter animals dramatically increased in the past months due to the recession; so much so that the SPCA is turning down requests to drop off pets.
On Friday July 10th, Whole Foods Market will host the SPCA in an adoption drive in the Whole Foods Market parking lot from 6:30-8:30pm. The SPCA Mobile Adoption Center (MAC) will be rolling in with cats, dogs, puppies, and kittens; each one adoptable, each one trainable. For every animal adopted space is opened at the SPCA for another unwanted, abused, or neglected animal to be adopted.
Guests will enjoy snow cones, popcorn and hot dogs as they share pet stories and maybe choose a new member of their family.
