The 2nd Annual StaySAFE child safety & health fair sponsored by the Bixby Optimist Club will be held on Saturday, May 3rd, from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
The event will be at the Bixby Community Center that is located in downtown Bixby at 211 N. Cabaniss.
StaySAFE will provide information on how to keep kids in the community safe in the car, at home, or while out and about.
Special guests from the Bixby Fire and Police departments along with EMSA will be there to discuss fire safety and internet safety, fingerprint children, and conduct vehicle tours.
Other organizations will also be in attendance to help distribute information and products to help parents and kids address such issues as poison control, water safety, and bicycle safety.
Certified volunteers will perform car seat safety checks, free immunizations, scoliosis checks, and eye site exams.
Firefighter Tom will be performing a magic safety show from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m., and Chatters the Clown and friends will be face painting, balloon sculpting, and conducting contests and games throughout the day.
Free refreshments will be available.
