TULSA FAMILY NETWORK ANNOUNCES LEGISLATIVE TEA AND FORUM: THE STATE OF WOMEN’S HEALTH IN OKLAHOMA

 

Senator J.E. McIntyre to give address re: the State of the State on Women’s Health

On April 26, 2008, from 11am -2 pm, Tulsa Family Network will host a Legislative Forum and Tea at Tulsa Community College Northeast Campus, in the newly renovated Seminar Center to discuss the state of Women’s Health in Oklahoma.  The event, which will feature information from Senator Judy Eason McIntyre, Sharon Smallwood, MD, family practice Conchita Woodruff, MD, OB/GYN and Constance Brown Phillips, MSN, Certified Nurse Practitioner for Tulsa County Health Department, will center on medical improvements, public health policy, health statistics and featured legislation toward the improvement of women’s health.  This forum will offer the opportunity for discussion of women’s health issues and how we can effect change through personal commitment for change and legislation. Tulsa Project Women, The Susan G. Komen Foundation and The American Cancer Society  will also be on hand. Tickets are 15.00 and include a light repast.
